We are a UCLA student-run club founded in 2020. Our goal is to connect student volunteers to select organizations that care for the underserved and those experiencing homelessness. In addition, we will conduct fundraisers throughout the year to help support these organizations.
Through community service, we hope to make a positive impact on our community, and at the same time to promote the understanding of homelessness for our members and the general public.
In one of our club events, our members recorded instructional videos for making origami hearts and hand turkeys for Venice Family Clinic.
In another event, our members made Thanksgiving cards which we mailed to various homeless shelters.
We also hosted a club social over Zoom where we all played games and had fun!
Over spring quarter, we raised some money through crowdfunding and purchased supplies for Midnight Mission. Items include Ziploc bags, napkins, disposable utensils and containers, and an infrared thermometer.
Some of our officers put their sewing skills to good use by making reusable face masks for those that work at Midnight Mission.
